I love swimming at all levels.  Working with UVRays has been a lot of fun.  The swimmers are motivated and want to keep improving, it makes coaching rewarding.  I started with Springville Seals many years ago and have been with the team as they merged with Provo  and became the UVRays.  Many years before that I swam for the Utah Valley Dolphins and then BYU for 4 years.  I have been an assistant swim coach at BYU for over twenty years, where currently I work with the sprinters.

I grew up in Northern California where I swam for Arden Hills for 12 years. I competed in junior and senior nationals. I was fortunate enough to swim for BYU and loved it. I was first-team All-MWC 3 years and swam after having my oldest Daughter in the middle of my senior year. I graduated in Home and Family. I have coached for the UVRays for almost 3 years now. My husband is Brady and we have 3 children, Alivia (5), Kai (2.5) and Claire (1).

Christine Vaughan

Springville Sunray Coach

Christine Vaughan swam for 8 years for the UVRays (SSAT) and still continues to swim on her own time. When she first started swimming her favorite events were any breaststroke and any distant freestyle. As she got older she enjoyed backstroke events and I.M. events. Christine competed several times at State meets and out of state meets. Christine loves swimming so much she felt it was important to teach others how to swim. She is now in her 5th year of teaching swim lessons. Last summer Christine coached the Spanish Fork County team. That following August she joined the UVrays and has been coaching since.

I love swimming and I love helping people, young and old, to improve their speed and their strokes. I started swimming when I was 8 years old and swam for KYAT until I was about 12. I started swimming again my freshman year for Copper Hills High School and usually competed in the 50 yard Free and the 100 yd Butterfly. I just started coaching with the UVrays this month and I'm super excited to get to know all of our amazing swimmers!
